Sony DVP-NS710H/B 1080p Upscaling DVD Player, Black
Never tried to buy a CD in a store these days? I was looking for a replacement for my Sony CD player 18 years and as a result of the fact that it is impossible for a single disc CD player impossible to find, I decided to go and buy. It is the most annoying piece of garbage I've always struggled with. It never starts playing a CD for about 4 seconds into Track 1 … This is, after at least 40 seconds to open and close the drawer and took to load the CD. The remote is about 4 seconds to respond to button pushes, and do not forget to use .. you can not skip tracks or without selection. If someone is not willing to live with the poor sound of MP3s, I found it very frustrating to continue to use my CD collection with this piece of garbage. This would be a one star review, but hey, at least it is not broken. It would break when I throw out the window. The treatment distance is terrible even with a pain DVD. Buy something else.

The main reason I bought this book, was able to see, not its UK DVD format area of the United States. (Unfortunately, my Playstation 3 is not present). It is easy to program the Philips DVP3980 as a "free zone".
I read good reviews before buying and reported conversion to 1080p. In my experience, so far this is true.
My only disappointment is the lack of optical audio output to connect to my (short) can be replaced older recipients. How to use the TV speakers via HDMI.

I wanted the parents to enjoy their new Sony Bravia HDTV, so I thought upscaling DVD player would be very appropriate. This model seems to be compatible with other Sony products. It 'easy to use and set-up and the sound was good, but the HDMI picture quality was poor.
I connected over HDMI and watch a DVD of a few and thought it looked a bit 'grainy. So I checked the resolution and was set to 1080p (1920 x 1080). Then I connected a DVD player with component cables, and guess what? Absolutely no difference, both images are grainy as well.
